A record 15 entries, and there could have been more, made it for this bash's comp. It went on well into the early hours, finishing at the Village hotel. I am greateful for the captains of each team helping by getting their matches underway, without that it simply could not have worked.

First Round

Real GB bt Precision

On the River bt Team Ironside

All Stars bt Wins Heat

Busty Girls bt Team ITB

The Disorganised bt Pukka Poker

Jacko's lot (later Nowab's lot) bt Billy No Mates

Nottingham Numpties a bye

The Jocks bt Team Silo

Second Round

On the River bt Real GB

All Stars bt Busty Girls

Nowab's lot bt The Disorganised

The Jocks bt Nottm Numpties

Semi Finals

On the River bt All Stars

the Jocks bt Nowab's lot

The Final

The Jocks bt On the River

I declare the champions "The Jocks"

However I think their name was forced upon some of the members who came from South of the Border

Well done LeKnave, Honeris, Rod Paradise, Eck and SwordPoker.

The Winners recieved a wonderful glass trophy each, to keep and a cup to be engraved and passed on to the next winners, oh and £750 between them.

The losing finalists won £450 to share and there was a 3rd place play off, won by Nowab's lot who pocketed £300.

I would appologise for renaming the team - but as LeKnave left me with updating Robert & there were 3 scots in the team it seemed right.... Also I noticed the rock paper scissors method of deciding who was playing ended when I was told "Rod, you're playing Chubby Nowab" - cheers guys - don't know who was more drunk - but he wasn't ready Wink

Cheers Robert for taking the Heads Up on again & cheers all the people playing for a fun tourney.

how come you got the lucky draw

you know he is a fish

imagine calling for all your chips when you would still have 80% of an average stack if you fold with QTo

Of the Jacko's/chubbs lot there were 3 left after the play off, arriana, danafish and chubbs. I gave them the £300, split 3 ways but pointing out they may need to sort out passdaaces and Paul, as they were the original team members who boiught in.

Congrats to the winners.  Don't know you all but congrats anyway.  Bainn and I managed to meet Rod (thanks for your kind comment concerning my 'playing' in the satellite) and it was fun meeting you, SwordPoker.

Indeed, team "billy no mates" shall return at BB4 and this time we won't make the school boy error of getting myself to play the decider after I've have consumed vast amounts of alcohol. To be honest I was probably more drunk in the first game I played and won. I suspect my failure was infact that I had began to sober up when asked to play the decider.

Cheers Phil for the hat and well done on your victory in the main event. Team "billy no mates" may have not won the heads up competition but we did win both the main event (Snatiramas) and the pre event online freeroll (M3boy).

Phil, if new hats are made for BB4 can I have 10 5 os on mine for this is a premium hand Aria now knows about and was silly enough to think her KK was good.

I second the advantages of playing under the influence of alcohol. I was too damn sober for the first game, although buzzing from the gallons of coke I had drunk throughout the tournament. The second heads up I played I won!! and now I have to decide whether this was because:

a) The bottle of wine I had consumed

b) The sureal state I was in at 6am

c) The slightly smaller raises I was making because each flop

great way to learn to play Heads Up Smiley

Apologies from my heads up team mates (except tighty) who seem to have been very quiet since the heads up tourney.
