You must see this movie, its brilliant in a sadistic reservoir dogs sort of way, Shakespere its not and there is no real thinking involved but the spectacle is well worth watching it for.

its just released and its got that bloke from the transporter in it, He's been poisioned and he has to keep his adrenaline pumping through his body to stay alive in order to exact his revenge against the people that have poisoned him. Its just out in the cinema, Well worth a look or atleast a download.

I don't think his character is supposed to be American, he just speaks the same way as he does in Snatch and The transporter, English accent.

The 80's one was DOA ( dead on arrival ) with Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, but quaid lives and get an antidote at the end of that one.

I liked crank as it was very violent with lots of Dark humour. Similar to reservoir Dogs

Theres no way he spoke the same in snatch as he did in transporter(unless i'm thinking of another American film he was in)

My recollection of that(appalling, but saved by a too cute meg ryan)film was that he hands himself in to the old bill just in time to tell them what had happend to him

I'm sure they could have made a great tradgic ending but opted for the hollywood "happy ending", Quaid catched the badguy, after proving something about a student who jumps out of a window, and it turns out to be his boss or his mate who masterminded the whole thing.  I'm sure he got the antidote in the end though.

I do believe there was a version made in the 50's from which this one is based.
