This morning I thought I would try and play some HU on VC.  I went to the STT section and selected a $1  1x1 table.  When my opponent arrived it was obvious he was a good player and I began to wonder why he was playing at the $1 limits.  The game went on for about 20 minutes and eventually he beat me with a higher straight than mine.  It was at that time it dawned on me, I had been playing in a $100 HU game rather than a $1.   All I have to show for 6 days work is a $3 profit now as my BR building $103 over the last 6 days has gone  Cheesy.

The standard of play between $1 and $100 is very different. He was much, much better then I was

It's back to the $3 STT now for me.   I lost another $50 on blonde trying to chase my lose.   Very frustrating, I am going to buy some of those £1 glasses from boots later

UL Sark, who was it you played? You got unlucky as most of the $100 HU players are bad, there are a couple of good ones though.

I know how you feel, I entered a $55 turbo on Stars once instead of a $6 Cheesy  Funnily enough, I lost in that too.

On the plus side, you held your own for quite a while there Sark, perhaps you should be moving up the levels a bit Smiley

To be honest, I was outclassed. He knew when to push and when I was bluffing. In the lower HU games I am used to, the players are far more passive

Your UL sark, most of the $100 players are too passive. I find them easier than the lower levels because of it.

aw unlucky Sark - was it a genuine misclick, or was it to do with that bug where it sometimes takes you to a completely different table than the one you are trying to select?  There was a post about that recently.
