Dave,

What a courageous thing for you to do. I have no place (anymore) to say this on behalf of blonde, but thankyou, must have been tough writing that.

I remember being very curious about meeting you at bb1, after all your rather contentious posts regarding footy previous to then. But I think that meeting you at bb1 was one of my high points of that event. Such a nice guy, and so poles apart from the postings that were all we had to judge you on before then.

Please don't take that the wrong way, it's certainly not meant as anything other than me saying that once I had met you, and you had a chance to meet everyone else that I think it helped you to realise that other members of the forum were people too - sounds simple, but it's something many people never manage to make the leap to. Postings equate to people, and it's easy to say things on a screen with a keyboard that you would NEVER say to someone in a pub.

Anyway, I am rambling now, just wanted to say good for you, and that you just did a really good thing Smiley

Thanks Dave, you are a big, big, man.

I actually wrote you an e-Mail while you were "away", wishing you well & that we'd soon see you back here, amongst your friends. And you are, so that's cool.

I empathise with you & now, I think, you with us.

This Forum is weird. It only takes a bit of bad blood, & it spreads right across the Forum, very quickly. Now & then it's awkward to control it, but generally the Members do it for us.

The whole purpose of this place is for a bunch of us to hang out & enjoy ourselves.

Someone mentioned meeting you at bB1. I well recall that day - it's fair to say, the Scots made the day what it was - they genuinely did. Much of what's good in blonde stemmed from that day at bB1. My affection for all of you has remained massive, ever since, & it will always be that way. We shall have the occasional tiff, but we are family.

I think your standing has grown in everyone's eyes today.

Ps - You are BANNED, you Jockish donkey.

It would have been so easy to say,"Ah Sh@te to the lot of them" and walk away, believing you were 'bigger' than the lot of them.
It takes a real feeling person , to admit error, and apologise, my  to you for the action you took.

Now get back to the cards

Good post Dave, as others have said, very open and honest of you( although personally I haven't found you aggressive)
Perhaps others, who had got involved in the 'discussions' involving Dave should be just as honest Wink
