I'm all for sexual equality and the like but how many more times are they going to allow Michelle Wie to compete on the mens tour. Yes she's good and would no doubt give me a proper trouncing if we were ever to partake in 18 holes together but again she is currently last of the 133 runners still taking part in the 84 Lumber Classic.

Ok she generates huge publicity but it if it carries on she'll just become a laughing stock - she still hasn't even managed to record a victory on the LPGA tour!! MICHELLE, LEARN TO WALK BEFORE TRYING TO RUN.........

p.s. Hunter Mahan and Tag Ridings each way are the two to follow thumbs up

I think that she is just playing badly at the moment, she was pulling all of her tee-shots into the rough last week.

I think that the extra pressure that she is under is combining with fact that she's not swinging it to well is making her look far worse than she actually is.

I would be prepared to take even money that she makes a cut in a men's
USPGA or PGA event before her 18th birthday.

On a side note, and I know that this is subjective, but I have never ever seen anyone make a micro-mini skirt look so un-sexy.

Its not fair to put her in that position, though I think she'll have little choice with Nike's influence.

A fifteen year old girl is never going to have the power to match the men on these length of courses.

Dont get me wrong - if she wanted to visit my treehouse for tips on her swing she would be more than welcome but i just think she is trying to bite off more than she can chew so early, she needs to get herself established on the LPGA first. As things stand at the minute she'll probably get 4 or 5 more chances to make the cut before her 18th birthday - i'd want more than even money if i was going to put a bet on.

Actually she is phenominally long for a lady, probably as long as most on the men's tour, regularly driving 300yards+.

I think some people do not realise exactly how much of a phenomenon she is.

Not for Michelle Wie it hasn't - no female player has made the cut in a mens PGA tour event since 1945.

Not as silly as when i post your quote pointing out that its still there - and always has been, though he is prepared to take even money - he's not offering it.
