I was looking at the leaderboard in the Notts Gala yesterday and noticed some guy had 27 rebuys in the £10 rebuy for the £300 NL Hold Em event on saturday night.

Now if i work that out correctly he spent £270 trying to get a £300 seat, worst of all he didnt even qualify!

Whats the most ridiculous amount of rebuys any blondeites have seen?

Yep. I was on his table. Made it 1000 about 20 hands in a row. And lost em all.

Was it Big dave? He won a serious amount on the "magic roundabout" earlier and was just letting off steam Grin

My record is 17 in a £20 comp...would have needed to have come 4th to break even. Needless to say, didn't

That was back in my early days, never again

As a general rule I find if I'm rebuying like mad then I don't go deep in the comp. I've often thought it's difficult to switch from the frantic mode pre break to freezeout city post break if you've had to spend a lot of dough to get there. Maybe it's just me

Always stuck to a £ limit in satellites beyond which I wouldn't go, might as well buy in direct.

boring I know, but true

once saw a certain mr R. Brush spend £475 in a sat for a £500 freezeout, needless to say he didn't win the seat but still bought in
