All discussion about 6 seat 50 BB half hour clock TV programs should be relegated to a game show forum somewhere.

Does anyone know if it is posisble,to bet on the outcome of this heat anywhere? I've had a look on Betfair but can't find anything. I'm guessing it's been pre-recorded, so there are no betting markets available? Ladbrokes had betting on this heats, three or four months but obviously you wouldn't find anything right now. I'm amazed how tight-lipped those involved have been with only a handful knowing the results. The semi-finals are LIVE on December 13th and 14th with the final LIVE on December 15th. I assume there might be some betting available then. Tony Jones was the 10/1 outsider to win. Early Christmas present of $1.2 million to the winner this year.

I hate these events...I consider them nothing more then poker equivalent of celebrity big brother.

If I keep coming up against you there is no hope. So who did win last night anyway?

Austin Healey

I actually thought this heat might be OK, Jimmy White, Phil Taylor and Steve Davis all play poker a lot on a biggish stage while leilani has been getting tutored by Roy Brindley but the play was pretty awful and comfounded by Austin Healey, the calling machine, winning after calling with any 2 and hitting. Worst call of the game (and there was a few contenders) must have been Davis calling a final bet with his pocket 4's on a paired board with 4-5 overcards......what is he beating???
