OK, So I got lucky on the river, but he had the right arse with me and accused me of playing it bad.  He's been pretty agressive from times and I thought the large bet on the turn after just a small call on the flop was a bluff.

Did I play this bad though?

If you don't put him on an ace then you played it fine if you think he has thye ace yet still continue to play the hand then its played badly.

If you think he was at it and that the Kings where good then fair play.

I did think he was at it.  Not only for the ace, but I've bet before into pots on this table then folded to a big raise on the flop/turn - I thought he may have been taking advantage of that too.

I'll stick with 'I got lucky' Cheesy

you mangled it pretty badly.. I cant understand preflop one bit, and if you think he has nothing on the turn (which you must do to make the call), why are you betting the river?

Raise more preflop. Why are you trying to slow play oop?

I bet on the river because I knew that I had him 100%.

Normally I would have raised more preflop, but the last couple of nights I've lost big time (for me) with KK a couple of times and I was trying to limit any potential losses should he have had AA.

This clearly went out the window on the turn .  Also, what would you recommend betting on the flop?

My cash game stratagy needs some work, I've only been trying it for the last couple of weeks.

this is not goodthinking.. look how much you got in the pot even though the Ace fell! Dont live in fear of what might happen just because your KK has lost a couple of times in the past. People are so loose at this level you are spewing a lot of value with big pairs if you just call to let yourself get outdrawn.

yes but you called on the turn because you thought he was making a move on you (ie no ace and presumably a draw), so you have to ask yourself what hand he is going to call your river bet with given your estimations on the turn.

the flop bet is OK, given how you got to the flop.. I just dont think you should ever be in a position where your flop bet is going to be $1.50 when you have KK.
