dont worry about the outdraw - i know its hideous but these things happen.

I just wonder whether i was right to go all in.  I am fed up of checking down a side pot and being rivered by crap cards so thought id bet all in to tell him i have a big hand and to get out the way.

Shoudl i have done this or not risked it and just checked - he prob would have bet the river and i still would have called.

it was the virgin 4k - 380 runners and down to last 60

thinking about it maybe i was a bit hasty - but im playing to final table / win not for the $18 that 31-40 get

the bet is fine, people take the "dont bet into a dry side pot" mantra much too far

Hang on...

rivsec is at seat 1 with 7422.00
Erynn is at seat 2 with 6668.00
scottishd is at seat 4 with 1789.00
Snuttis is at seat 5 with 7470.00
@THOR@ is at seat 6 with 982.00
belone is at seat 7 with 1450.00
whemo is at seat 8 with 3120.00
negocio is at seat 9 with 4210.00
sstorture is at seat 10 with 11252.00

@THOR@ posts the large blind 400.00
Snuttis posts the small blind 200.00

Pre-flop:

belone: Fold
whemo: Fold
negocio: Fold
sstorture: Fold
rivsec: Raise  1200.00
Erynn: Fold
scottishd: Fold
Snuttis: Call 1200.00
@THOR@: All in
rivsec: Call 1382.00
Snuttis: Call 1382.00

So @THOR@ posts the big blind for 400 (leaving him with 582), you raise to 1200, Snuttis calls, and @THOR@ calls all-in.

Then, WTF, you call another 1382? [From whom?] Then Snuttis calls 1382?  What?  Who has, at any point in the hand, bet 1382?

Oh ok, never mind, I think I get it.  At the beginning of the hand, they have already subtracted the amount each player is about to contribute in blinds, so @THOR@ started with 1382.  The Virgin software was always a bit broken.

yep thor had 1382 so i initially raised 1200 got called by muppet / villain, then thor went all in - at that point i was desperate to re-raise but virgin would only let me call the extra 182.  I am sure on other software they would have let me re-raise again or am i wrong??

I think if i had pushed when it got back to me i might have pushed T7 muppet of his monster hand but i doubt it!!

no other site would have let you reraise that as it's an under raise with 182.

The bet into the side pot was fine btw..the entire "let's just check it down bollox doesn't go with me) you had an over pair to the board.
