 Cheesy

I'd be pitching this rite off the bat, you have no low draw, the flush draws can get you into trouble, if you do make your straight the pot is gonna have a low out there a good % of the time, its not got a lot going for it

The money goes in on the flop though.  I would not have been in this deep preflop but can I reall pass with top 2 pair a straight draw and the straight flush draw?

Preflop it could have been ditched thats true but this table has been a bit mental.

BTW I really want to know if the call on the flop was a bad call.

you didn't call on the flop, you shoved it in, but once you see this flop, you aren't folding given the money in the pot... so no, its not a bad play gettin your money in on this flop

True I just noticed that, I was busy throwing a party at the time having seen the flop, I found it strange why i was at the butt end of the abuse for getting my cash in with that.

Although against the other hands i was 40% to win preflop

The problem with hands like these Newman'seye is they have to work their nuts off to make the nuts.

When you make the nut straight there will nearly always be a low draw out there. You will also flop some 2nd best straights and flushes which will often lose you money.

You only have 3 cards working for you with the dangling 3. No low at all.

All in all this is a bad hand in om/8 and I would be chucking it preflop.

9's are known as om/8 death cards as they are of so little use. While playing on party one time some people were discussing hand selection in om.8 and someone chimed in with "playing omaha hi lo hands with a 9 in them makes baby jesus cry" which made me laugh. It is often true though.

On the flop, you aren't going to fold of course as you hit the flop quite well.

Nice hand but I can understand why the guy called u a fish! I've played with him before though and he's abusive to everyone so dont worry.

Cheers Guys, I was sure I was favorite to win, I just found it strange that this bloke would not shut up about his second nut straight being out drawn, I've been called a fish many time's thats no problem, What I found insulting was the way he declared it a poor play.

Ach well i won thats whats important, cheers for the input guys.

I'm a FISH thats why!!

All kidding aside I was getting a bit impatient as anytime I had a decent hand I was connecting with nothing and had to lay down my cards. I decided to play a loose hand and try to get lucky.

Its a shocking play preflop but it worked out in the end

Pre flop play aside the play isnt bad, you're pushing in 1st representing the straight, unfortunately you're getting 2 calls by guys with the straight.  You outdrew them but that always happens in Omaha anyway.  Dunno what outonalimb is doing.....looking for a runner runner low draw?Huh?Huh?

You're very rarely going to be ahead on that flop but you do have draws to beat anything your opponent could have, def justifies pushing IMO
