What happened to martin wendt I'm sure he didn't have that big scar on him head a year or two back

He was in a very bad car crash. He told me he feels just lucky to be alive.

He has such a great outlook on life and is such a friendly guy (he even laid down 55 to me on a T578 board to me once, how nice is that!)

presumably the first time you'd met Roll Eyes

lol yes.

The next time we played he got it in with A hi against me and won.....

It is pretty outrageous that 56 hands in the blinds were so high that it was all in or fold, they must have been doing the classics laddies blinds up every 10 hands

Does this whole thing come down to the question are laddies losing the plot which is in the poker section......If you have TV then you play to their tune

After 56 hands there were 5 players left and the chip leader had just over 10 bb's.

That's disgusting. I wonder if the TV producers had a say in the structure...... go figuire.

To be fair to Ladbrokes I think the problem could be their choice of partner. I imagine the structure was devised by the partner given the cost of filming poker and  as with their other TV offerings such as the Poker Den and other comps, the partners aim seems to be to make money and not nessacerily provide a good comp.

Its a pity coz the Poker Million was a great comp in the early days.

I've only watched short snippets and it looks like a crap tournament IMHO.

Tough to get the right balance for telly I guess.

Who do we blame here? Matchroom Sport? I assume this is one of their's. Too many of these type of tournaments on Briitsh TV (possibly a syndrome of the WPT final tables).

It should be positioned for what it is - a 6 seater Sit and Go which many will say is not poker.  Nobody to blame since this is a popular format as indicated by the numbers that play them.

yeah but even 6 seater STT's could have a decent format.
