The blue Square sponsored Grosvenor Grand Prix qualifiers start in earnest this week. For those not familiar with this Annual comp, you can ONLY qualify by entering a £100 rebuy qualifier. The top 15% of ALL entrants go through. So if there are, say, 20 runners, then 3 seats are awarded. 60 runners, 9 seats, etc. That's ALL you need to do to qualify - finish in the top 15%. All the £100 rebuys go into the Main Prize Pool, for the Grand Final, which takes place at Walsall 15th & 16th October.

The Prize pool is GUARANTEED at not less than £250,000, & you can reckon on around £100,000 to the winner. I have enteted - & qualified for this - for the last 3 years, & I have estimated that the comp has an equivelant "hypothetical" entry value of somewhere in the region of £1,300 to £1,400, so it has to be great value.

This weeks qualifiers are at......

Today (Saturday) - The Vic

Tuesday - Huddersfield

Wednesday - Walsall & Liverpool

Thursday - Cardiff & Brighton

Friday - Online only, at Blue Square.com

We are trying to find out who has qualified so far - they started qualifiers last Sunday at The Vic, & Thursday at Ramsgate, & yesterday there was a Blue Square online qualifier, the third to date I believe.

What we want to do is keep a running list of qualifiers on blonde, so if you have already qualified, please let us know, & we will construct a running list. WE need LOTS of blondeites in this one, & then we can all hook up at Walsall in October.

The easiest Casino in whjich to qualify? I usually find Salford a doddle, though it's a rotten drive for me, across the peaks in the dead of night, & up the horrendous & never ending A6.

Those who attempt to qualify early tend to find smaller fields. The later you leave it, the bigger the fields, but that just means more seats. The last few nights of qualifiers have HUGE fields, as eveyone scrambles for a seat.

Don't forget - let us know if you have qualified, & where. And where & when you will be playing, so the blondeites can hook up.

So you already know you will not qualify on Wednesday then Red? That's realistic, if nothing else......

On that basis, I suppose Ariton will play all 45 qualifiers.

Yes, there is a whole language, but sadly, its dying, I speak less than my parents, my children speak less than me

The form most of us use now is called 'Poggardi Jib' (Broken Speech) because some of the old words are missing

"Poggardi Jib". Really? What a lovely name! Is that where the word "jibberish" originates?

Oh, & can you explain the "bright in here" riposte? Me = thicko.
