It was my first big buyin event (5k or above I mean) and I said at the start if I came across any of that sort of stuff I would have to say something. If you had seen the poor kids face who had just been eliminated just short or a minimum 7k you would have said something too. Even the most mildmannered players would have wanted to slap this guy for whooping and hollering. Most players where internet qualifiers and a lot of them may never get another shot at a million dollar prizepool, there is no need for it imo (should be in the pet hate thread this one maybe).

Some of the yanks where great blokes, usually the players who have been there and seen it if you know what I mean. I bumped into J Walter Thomson ( a yank version of robert binelli with amazing tash and beard combo) in vegas and we had a good chat and coffee. He knocked me out of the main event in st maarten and took time to discuss his thoughts on the hand that knocked me out- didn't need to but he was an absolute gentleman. I do not dislike yanks at all (that would be generalising again) but there are some of them that are just too american if you get my drift.

Talking of Americans (which we were) & Brian Wilson who started this thread (which we were not), WSOPin06 sent me texts at 0400, 0430, & 0500 this morning, grr.....

It seems he has signed up on wm Hill and has been terrorising the locals, & winning little short handed comps left right & centre, & ALL sorts of comments have been appearing in the chat box about his "poor play, you'll never win a bean".

I think he just rattles his bracelet.....

I must confess, I loathe loud Americans, but Brian is the exception, you gotta love him. He won one comp on Wm Hill by RRR-ing with 2-2, & it held on against AQ - followed by ALL sorts of noise (from his hapless oppos) in the chatbox.

He comes back to the UK in October for the Grand Prix. Can't wait.

Of course not.
