Well Done Guys, let's keep this bandwagon rolling.

Dunno how I could have missed this post for so long!!!

My smoking has been bugging me for ages, been wanting to quit for a while but not quite in the right frame of mind. I tried once before and it was hell, so I'm seriously impressed with everybody on here. So much so infact.....F*ck it.... it's time to do it myself.

Just ordered the Allen Carr book, hope to join your bandwagon very soon.

Giood man.

But read the WHOLE book first BEFORE quitting.

6 or 7 of us on here have done so, the failure rate is o%.

Good luck PokerManiac, keep us posted on your progress.

So much destructive kak on the forum over the weekend, it's nice to see that there's still the odd thread like this one, that serves a practical purpose.

TK & Tank.... thanks for the support.

I intend to read the book as soon as it arrives and hopefully I'll be ready to quit by next weekend if the book isn't too long. Having quit once before, I know how hard it can be so I'm absolutely amazed and seriously impressed  at the success rate and relative ease that the blonde's on here have achieved. So I figure there must be some pretty awesome advice in that book and that's what's motivated me to give it another go.

The countdown has started

It's just basic commom sense. We are bored, so we light up a ciggie. Does the ciggie stop us being bored?.......

It's an addiction, pure & simple. Free yourself.

MadYank went into his local Guns n Ammo cornershop this afternoon.

"Howdy meestah" says the shopkeeper

"Holla" replied the Mad one politely.

"What can I do for you today?"

"I'm going to buy me one of them 3-57 Magnums"

"Are you sure partner?"

"Yes Siree, the 3-57"

"That's one of the most powerful handguns in the world, what do you need that much machine for?"

"I'm gonna shoot cans"

"The 3-57!!! You wanna 3-57 and you're only gonna shoot cans!?!"

"Hell yeah, cans. Afri-cans, Mexi-cans......"

Good luck PokerManiac, you've taken the first step to getting yourself into the right frame of mind for quitting. It took me a long time and lots of attempts before finally working out why it was so difficult for me to succeed in stopping. The right frame of mind is essential and Mr Carr is excellent at getting you into that frame of mind. His writing style isn't for everyone, he says so himself, but it's the message that he gets across that's important, not whether it's a front runner for the booker prize. Looking forward to reading about more success stories.

Cheers,

Eoan
