Hello, I am new, been looking in as a guest and thought what a friendly forum so decided to take the plunge.

Anyway I am wondering with the closure of Channel 854 later this month (October28th I believe) will the Poker 425 programme be moved to another channel in the same or another format? I find it very enjoyable, and would be sorry if it finished.

Hi Richard, welcome to blonde Smiley

I didn't realise 854 was closing down. I'm sure someone here will have all the answers for you.

Didnt realise 854 was closing but its not suprising. Poker 425 is the only decent show on the channel.  They have racing live and Trackside, but these shows are rarely on. Most of the time its stupid telephone roulette, which has about as much appeal as those ridiculous shows they keep airing late night on ITV.

Hopefully Poker 425 can find a new home on a new channel lower down in the channel listing

Yes it was confirmed today - Channel 854 will close at the end of October.

What will happen to Poker 425? Remains to be seen. As I've mentioned on several occasions recently, discussions by the suits continue behind the scenes. The show could end up anywhere - or nowhere! It's existed 18 months & been great fun, whatever happens.

Deals have been struck for it's future, but these are complicated & depend on several other things being in place.

Best to wait & see. News soon, I'm assured.

Stand by your beds.

Oh my goodness!  Didn't realise there was problems with the channel either.

Hope the 425 gets shown somewhere.

Well, we made a bigger-budget, "new-improved" Poker 425 Pilot Show a few months back, & that was well-received by the intended target Channel. But it was well expensive to make, so it kinda depends if Wm Hill want to spend that much.

It's in negotiation now, as to what happens.
