$2/4
On bb with A-5
Flop = A-5-5
I bet, early pos limper calls
Turn - 8
a load of min raises and min re-raises.
Is it possible to put my opponent on 8-8 and get away from the hand. What else could he have that I am beating as an early limper?

Why do you always min raise in NL holdem snoopy? Not a criticism just an honest question, in nearly all of your HH posts you have min raised.

not in a cash game. unless you know the player well as a total rock who wouldn't may min raises such as this without the nuts. i've only folded a full house before in a sat. and i think it was only once turned out i was winning but i had chips back anyway.

Because, from my experience at 2/4 cash games, it seems to be the cheapest way of garnering whether you opponent is strong or weak. On this occasion, it was to lure him in rather than to establish hand strength, but after he min re-raised my raise, I suddenly thought that he had 8-8, maybe even A-A, but not a hand I could beat. I didn't have it in me to fold though, but I just wondered if it was possible and how many re-raises it would take.

of course you can pass... especially if you are not committing yourself by min raising etc.
I think Negreanu should pass in his FH v Quads hand against Gus Hansen in High Stakes poker.
Obviously i have the benefit of hindsight, but even still, i couldnt decipher a hand Negreanu was beating, he had 4th nuts.
Even Gus Hansen can't be enough of a loon to jam the river with air in that situation

it'll be a tough fold....you play A5 , hit the full house so it's essentially the best flop you could hope for when playing marginal (if not to call it crap) stuff. I am assuming you got beat with this one...but especially with min raises it'll be a tough fold...I would reraise one of the min raises for a fair amount and see what they do. Essentially it depends on what players you are up against and how many of them + action before the flop.

Best Flop: 5-5-5 (will get paid by bigger overpairs who cant lay down full house) 2nd best flop: A-A-A (stone cold nuts but little chance of getting paid off big unless someone overplays a pair big time) Anything else and you may be in trouble

Do you tend to fold it on your bb then boldie??? If everyone just limped then no of course not...if there was a reasonable sized bet then yes. I already answered snoops question and after that matt and i were just posting for posting's sake.......I'm not saying it was useful...
