another weird thing about this was that dave said he never even put the money onto blonde where he was meant to be playing, the money was transferred on stars and tilt. so blonde must have known it hadn't been deposited? kev also posted on that thread that he had met dave and everything was OK he was going to carry on with the stake ASAP.

so basically all the mods and cos knew what was going on and nobody said anything. IIRC I was the only person asking WTF was going on and Keith even told me I was out of order for doing that Smiley if I hadn't we would prob still be waiting for dave/mods/blonde/cos to let us in on the secret.

also i don't understand why a solicitor would get so upset about an hour or two's wages.

hungover- cliff notes please

Robert HM is annoyed at the mods 'handling' in one way or another of the Penly staking thing.

Before anyone but myself and Mr HM know about Robert asks Penly to buy him out of his share.

Dave tells me this and I tell him he's not to pay anyone before anyone else, particularly Robert.

Robert has been absent from blonde for some months.

How did Robert know Dave had spunked all the staking money before anyone else?

It's also odd that the money was never deposited as Dave was playing on blonde. I know because I checked...

everyone who staked penly is/was a sucker/mug. Any kind of research into him and you would find he didnt pay flushy back his wsope plo touch.

If you ever hear anything dodgy about someone, even a rumour just avoid.

That's news to me, I would not know who deposits on blonde, how much, etc, unless I went to the trouble to ask Kev or Rich, & I never have, not once. My awareness came fom the fact it was "in the domain", it was an open secret, everyone seemed to know.

I'm puzzled - I'm sure there is an innocent explanation too - as to how you would know what was & was not deposited on blonde. That info is not available to ANY Mods, except, when wearing different hats, Rich & Kev.

To clarify I didn't know he deposited etc, I checked he was playing games on blonde by searching for his username. It seemed like byron was saying he didn't put any money into blonde at all (sorry if you weren't!) which went against what I found.

Penly's staking started on blonde ... then he posted on his staking thread that he was moving to other sites.

It is all documented on his staking thread, perhaps people should read that before trying to add 2 and 2 and getting 5.

For someone that posted a few mins ago that you didnt have time to get involved,

this seems really weird and is not making sense to me for numerous reasons but i haven't the time to get involved.

it's OK to make PMs public now?

You sure have made some rash conclusions.

Any chance Blonde can get Dave to do a part II of "in the well".

I really like Robert, I hope he has not disappeared from Blonde for good, but I am certainly disappointed with his behaviour in this, and if I had been in the staking syndicate I would have been very very angry.

I can't see him rushing back especially if he reads this thread.

dave posted that he hadn't deposited onto blonde in his comeback post. i do not remember him ever posting about playing on different sites, maybe once a "can I play a tourney on FT tonight?" post but certainly not a "not playing on blonde anymore" post. what rash conclusions have i made?

have dropped 3 buyins so far while posting on this thread

Maybe that's a lesson to concentrate on what you know about rather than to make assumptions about something which you obviously have no knowledge of. Wink

Well I say that Dewi, but I still end up making mistakes, & lending money bad, from time to time. Some of us will never learn. But it's sometimes hard - & wrong - to reject a genuine overture from someone who seems OK, & is in a spot.
