Played on the Blonde Poker skin for the first time last night.
Felt like a spider in an ant colony.
I put up with verbal shenannigans in the chat box when I'm grinding it out on the cash tables (I actually expect it nowadays), but I never anticipated this occurring in what I presumed would be a friendly tournament.
I refuse to post details, but suffice to say, the first time will be my last time.

But I am guessing that he is referring to the Blonde League event last night? Sorry if I have got this wrong, but seems odd if that is the case.
At least i know it wasn't me as I was out in 34th.  Cheesy

Were you verbally abused during the blonde league game?

The blonde comps ??

Always plenty of banter flying about in these games, all of it friendly and certainly nothing malicious or threatening.

If you were offended by any of the exchanges in chat then i personally apologise on behalf of blonde. But the banter and competitive spirit of these games is what everyone seems to enjoy.

Maybe I'm wrong .... any other regular league players have a view on this ?

I doubt it was a Blonde game Kev, we are all at the wind up most of the time, and I doubt that anyone would type anything way out of line.

You're in long enough to have banter??

Blonde comps are usually great fun that never have rubdowns, slowrolling or the like. Cut above imho.

I'm sure roverthtaeh was on my table at some point last night and I didn't notice anything untoward.

Maybe he should post details, so we know what he's referring to.

He was Andrew - if i remember rightly he was having problems with his buttons but like you i wouldnt say i read anything untoward either.

I do remember him raising my blinds twice in two rounds and commenting "i prefered it when your buttons didnt work!"  Cheesy

I didn't see anything out of order in the chat during the comp, only the expected good humoured banter (the main reason I play any of these). Take away the banter and I wouldn't have deposited to play as work dictates I can't play many of these league events.

I guess it's about perception.  We are all used to the banter, but I can see how it might be taken by someone who's not played before.

I have to confess that I have in the past let some of the ribbing get to me, when it's been from people I don't know.  Mainly because I'm well aware that my play isn't up to the standard of the vast majority in the blonde games, and I've taken to heart some of the criticisms of how I've played hands, and wondered if I should really be playing at all.  That was short lived though, and now I simply don't care when I outdraw everyone with my fishy play Cheesy (although I did feel a little bad last night when I hideously outdrew l4dyskye  )
