Simms (sb), de Wolfe (bb) and Thorsson (button) see a three way flop of

I distinctly noticed Simms shrugging his shoulders as he checked, perhaps acting like he'd completely missed. He seems very keen on the amateur dramatics, I remember him betting out a flopped two pair and then huffing when Thorsson called.
Anyhow, Roland checked and then Thorsson bet out.
Not surprisingly to me, Simms gave it a dwell before smooth calling.
With Roland folding behind, Simms checked the

Turn, and so did Thorsson, a very suspicious look on his face as he carefully studied his opponent.
Again, not surprisingly, Simms bet out 110k on the

River.
Thorsson, who I reckon had an Ace (maybe a pocket pair of some kind), thought and throught, counted out the 110k, and then eventually folded.
The question on my mind is was Simms intentionally overacting, hoping that his opponents would notice and suspect trips, thereby allowing him to represent and take away the pot with nothing, or was he just doing some straight out bad acting (as he did earlier with the A-7) with the Seven?
I'm still not sure, although I would suggest the former. He knows Thorsson is observant, so I think he was double bluffing his opponent with his clearly intentional mannerisms.
I hope to catch up with him later on to find out. Whether he'll tell me the truth or not is another matter...
