This is great stuff, I just wish the monty python boys could have been in attendance, it seems a bit watered down these days, some of the acts are just leagues apart from others.

sarah silverman is a bit of an aquired taste, although her  comedy is more of a taking the piss outta stereotypes, she's similar to Dave Chappelle

I didn't find her in the least bit shocking - or funny.

Her act just appeared to be a checklist, go down the list, say something controversial, that's it. It was much too contrived to be funny.

in general i enjoyed it, the eddie izzard and the mighty boosh were funny as.

Sarah Silverman was just boring i'm afraid, i love a shocking comedian but her delivery was so pedestrian it was hard to laugh at the punchlines.

True - it might have just been this set of hers that didn't 'work'.

But, first impressions....

means that I can't be bothered to download another of her shows to see if they're any good.

I'm happy to take your word for it though. Smiley

the term "female comedian" is an oxymoron.

They are not genetically programmed to be funny.

I think there's a 'social' explanation.

1. Girls are discouraged from taking on the role of 'class clown'
2. Men get to define what is and isn't 'funny'
3. By the time 'females' get to defining themselves as funny and acting accordingly they're playing catch-up and battling for media exposure at a disadvantage.

Those 3 things coupled with the unfunniness Laz was talking about, and they're really starting on the back foot.  Cheesy

Watched this last night, I liked Natalie Imbulgia's *surprise* coming on stage to jam with her mock signer.
Well executed and timed too.
