Freezeout Tournaments.

I go and play at Walsall every now and then, but unfortunately one of my friends who plays poker too, always says he won't come because he doesn't trust himself with getting too many rebuys and getting broke easily. So I'd like to find a regular freezeout tournament in the walsall/birmingham area if possible.

Any ideas?

I've said before, I'd like to see a regular, low buy in freeze out for beginners like £30 instead of £5 rebuy.

We're having a £15 Single Rebuy only tournament in Cincinatti's tonight - hoping it will convince them to have more. Think we could end up with a full house so if that doesn't get us regular limited rebuy/Freezeout tourneys I don't know what will.

Definately a step in the right direction IMHO.  I'm going to suggest the same at the Brighton Grosvenor tonight.  I'll let you know the response.

Problem is that these comps don't bring much money in for the casinos. They want the gamblers who are willing to pay 4 a load of rebuys and then go and lose a stack on the roulette.

more importantly no value for the punter, Walsall's £50 freeze was ditched cuz nobody showed up.
Why pay £50 for a shot at winning £1k when you can enter a £10 rebuy for at least the same prize?

I put the idea to the card room manager tonight and he didn't like the freezeout option but was intrested in the £15 double chance.

I'm going to start a poll about this one to get some feedback.
