970 in the pot - 370 to you to call.

He could have any two cards, so pre-flop it makes sense.

But on the flop, if you think he has a King, then he's going to be a 90% favourite - and the fold might be correct?

But like you said, with so few chips involved it's hardly the biggest crime against humanity to call.

Pre flop I would call. after the flop there is no reason to IMO. You need to hit two cards to take the hand if the raiser sticks his chips in. sure it's not a lot of chips BUT if you keep making calls like that you'll be out of the tourneys more often than staying in them. you're risking 5% of your stack on hitting a runner runner if you believe the raiser isn't bluffing...not a move I would make.

If you think a Jack or a three could win then it seems reasonable to call

I call this odds too good to pass up, his range really does have to be tight here too fold this and his range should be quite wide.

you're getting good enough odds considering your chip lead on everyone i think. 2 backdoor draws and possibly a jack to win it's a fair enough call.

Sums things up in 6 words! Calls like this make a big stack, small fairly quickly. Bad call IMHO.

it often annoys me when the big stack bigs on smaller ones wi any two hole cards and end up doubling him thru

it can be justified HU preflop but in this case bad call methinks

I can't believe more people say call. Am i misreading this tell me if i am.

The pot is 600, a guy bets 370, you are calling 370 to win 970. 2.6-1. You need to win 38% of the time!
