Hi all, it's 1pm here Amsterdam time, and Snoopy's out foraging for food before we trundle back to the casino.  I will be taking my laptop, should the worst happen fast, and you'll be back to a double update.  I just wanted to encourage watchers to encourage Snoopy - he's working his skinny little fingers to the bone, and if I hadn't had an Offer I Couldn't Refuse, I'd be by his side (where I belong).

So, lots of good vibes from the UK and Europe for players and lone reporter - and Watch This Space for your updates commencing in around 45 minutes.

P.S. Thanks Danafish for that picture; it's made my morning.  I'd really like to believe the cat has my best interests at heart.

Leave your lappie Jen..you won't be needing it for a while. Positive thinking and all that..no self fullfilling prophecies.

You're in there now so might as well go out and win it.

Have fun today and the best of luck (or maybe just no bad luck will be enough.)

And for snoops.

RUN SNOOPS, RUN! Smiley

Both of you - get the job done!

I am supposed to be "working" today, but I've managed to find a PC & I'll take a sneaky peek every now & then.

You've heard of an American Warewolf in Paris, well this morning was like an English Beagle in Amsterdam.

Beagles are meant to pretty good at navigating, but not this one. Everywhere looks the same! Walk along one river and you get to another that looks exactly the same as the last. I left markers to remind me, but they're no good if you forget what they are. I got half way back then found myself a little lost, being forced to ask for directions.

Unfortunately, my "Wo ist sexy time? " request seem to fall on stony ground, and the few clever clogs (yeeeeeah) who did understand me simply answered in their native language. Couldn't understand a ruddy word, it was always double dutch to me (ooh, back of the net!)

But in the end, I did manage to stumble back into my hotel, just in time to escort young Jennifer over to the Holland Casino, ready for Day 2 of the Amsterdam Master Classics, which, from what I understand, is just about ready to start.

Good luck, Jennifer!

149 players started the day with an average stack of 23k.

First prize is well over 600k.

Ambulance for JP Kelly!

According to Jen, he had amassed a 30k stack but blew it at the last minute last night. Not a happy bunny apparantly.

From what I understand, Nic Szeremeta was also a late casualty.
