And we've lost another, this time Brit Dave Finney, who really is one of those under-the-radar type players, rarely seen playing a big pot, yet always seems to make it through to the latter stages.

And he got his money in ahead too, re-raising Jonathan Fahl all-in with Tens, only for Fahl's A-4 to Flop an Ace.

Although the looked grim, the created 9 more outs to the flush draw, but the final spade never arrived and a bad beat takes out Finney in what I believe is 18th place.

Andreas Hagen is OUT.

The Norwegian found a pretty strong holding in A-Q, but it was ultimately no match for Alexander Kuzmin's A-K, which held up on a board of K-Q-3-4-4, eventually making four to a flush on the River.

Irishman Tommy Watson is OUT in very exciting fashion.

Classic 50-50 with Tommy and Frenchman Alex Jalali Abadi, Queens (Tommy) versus A-K all-in pre-flop.

Table 1:

(1) J J Hazan -- 522,000
(2) Sverre Sundbo -- 143,000
(3) Jan Sjavik -- 238,000
(4) Jonathan Fahl -- 198,000
(5) Jerome Bradpiece -- 47,000
(6) Keith Hawkins -- 220,000
(8) Michael Keiner -- 70,000
(9) Jorrit van Hoof -- 414,000

Table 2 (TV):

(1) Jan Boubli -- 109,000
(2) Alex Jalali Abadi -- 719,000
(3) Rolf Slotboom -- 210,000
(5) Thierry Van Der Berg -- 154,000
(6) S Pevzner -- 181,000
(8) Jos Ariaans -- 57,000
(9) M Vlek -- 178,000

Keith Hawkins doubled up when his A-Q all-in re-raise was called by Fahl's A-K. Queen on the Flop and another on the River gave Keith the pot.

Back after the break (I mean here, me - I had one of those table power naps) - and Rolf has raised fairly big, with Meno Vlek pushing in.  Rolf calls, reluctantly, showing, well, see for yourself:

Meno
Rolf

Flop:  Two Diamonds
Turn:
River:

Pundit Snoopy says, "That's gotta hurt, at this stage."  Yes, I imagine Mr. Vlek's not delighted with that river.  He's OUT.

Keith Hawkins has doubled up Jerome Bradpiece with K-9 vs A-7 on a J-J-3-A-Q board.

Other news...

Michael Keiner is OUT.

He raised all-in from the button for around 45k. Both Jorrit van Hoof (small blind) and JJ Hazan (big blind) called, which was probably one too many for the German who held Pocket Eights.

Flop =

Jorrit counted out 45k and considered making a bet (although he may have been trying to intimidate Hazan into checking), before finally tapping the table.

Hazan checked instantly behind him and they quickly checked it down to the end.

Turn =

River =

And Hazan takes the pot with .

Jorrit mucked his hand.

Jerome Bradpiece has shot up to 250k.

All pre-flop, he moved all-in for around 120k with A-Q only to be called from the button by Hazan and his Nines.

Flop = three diamonds

Turn =

River = As

Noise:  JJ shouting "NINE!"

Reason for it:  JJ raised preflop to 25k with , Sverre pushed in over the top for about 140k in total.  Call.  Sverre has .
The Nine was the crucial card in bringing a straight for JJ Hazan, and knocking the Norseman out in 13th place.  It looks like JJ has been his calling nemesis - no escape there and a very disheartened looking Sverre is moping around the press room.

I join the action with Jerome Bradpiece deep in the think tank.

Jan Sjavik is all-in and the Flop is Two Clubs

According to my reliable source, the action went thus:

Jan raised to 25k pre-flop and Jerome flat called from the button.

Jan bet 20k on the Flop, Jerome made it 75k and Jan moved all-in for about 95k more.

Jerome eventually made the call with A-J, but found himself up against Pocket Cowboys.

Two blanks on the Turn and River and the pot goes to the plucky Norwegian.

Jan Boubli doubles up with a no-nonsense hit-a-flush-on-the-flop kind of hand (all in pre, though).  I just missed the chip count from that table, however, as I was sidetracked by relating a conversation I just had with a very excitable Mike Tse, whose 9% in the form of Jerome Bradpiece has made a remarkable comeback from around 50k...

Apart from that last hand.  I now re-award the remarkable comeback status to Jan Sjavik.  Ahem.

It all went in on the flop, but it was Jorrit van Hoof who made the initial pre-flop raise, only to receive two callers in Fahl and Jerome who were sitting in the small and big blind respectively.

The Flop came , Fahl bet out 60k, Bradpiece folded and Jorrit re-raised. Fahl moved all-in and Jorrit called.

Jorrit =

Fahl =

I make it up the stairs again in time to see the Camel push all in for his 150k from the big blind over the top of JJ Hazan's 29k raise preflop.  We are treated to a very long dwell from JJ, and then a totally unexpected pass face-up of .  I would have bet money on him not doing that, and clearly so would Keith... he showed with a bemused expression.

Big Hands Get Televised News Now -

Proving once and for all that Rolf Slotboom has been blessed by a higher power, he raises with (fair enough) and then calls the all-in re-raise of Thierry van der Berg.  Who has .

Flop:
Turn:     (you can just imagine the collective intake of breath from the Dutch here)
River:

This means that Thierry is the 11th place finisher, and Rolf is as jammy as a dodger.

It is now 'hand over hand'...

Jan Boubli
Alex Jalali Abadi
Rolf Slotboom
Jorrit van Hoof
S Pevznek

JJ Hazan
Jan Sjavik
Jonathan Fahl
Jerome Bradpiece
Keith Hawkins
