I've had bad beats, I've felt sick at bubbling, but always taken on on the chin as part of the game.  Don't know what's different tonight but I never felt so fed up with bloody poker as I do right now.  I've been playing just about a year, I'm not getting better - if anything I'm getting worse.  The luck that's seen me manage a handful of MTT wins in the past seems to have deserted me and now it just seems like a complete waste of time and money.  I always knew the novelty would wear of one day and I guess that day has arrived.

I'm going to go and tilt off my last few dollars at a cash table then pack it in - just stick to a live game once a month.

I know the feeling, I'd had an outstanding year until about 3 months ago, at the moment I  just can't win a coin flip at a key time. I guess some of the luck I probably had earlier in the year is evening itself out.

The thing is most of my winnings I just spend on holidays etc so I don't keep a large bankroll, so its getting veeery low now.

I look forward to a change in luck!

I was going to say where are you Cheesy

Seriously, don't tilt it off.  I've found in the past when I am playing bad, take a second to think about what you are doing.  I know it's easier said than done, but think of it as explaining to someone else what you are doing and why you are doing it.  I've fond that boring telling my missus about hands has made me realise that I didn't lose due to bad luck, I lost to bad play.

Tilting your cash away won't make you feel better.  Have a small break or perhaps move down slightly in level, don't just give away your money though.

You'll get it back, everyone goes through dry spells Smiley

things changed for me about a month ago, much for the better again live and more recently on the net. No idea why

take a break, relax about it and come back refreshed when you are ready. Something out of nowhere will improve it

77 vs AK left me with a few BBs left, then I had to go all in with J6 on a 26x flop, vs T2, turn and river were big fat smelly 10s...both beats were by the same guy.

Have £2 for the badbeats, I'd only lose it on badbeats anyway.

$28 is a nice amount to take to a cash table, you can turn that into a nice amount.  Also it's 4 x $5 stt's or a few mtt's - don't waste it you can put it to a lot of good use and a lot of poker Smiley

$28 - it's still money.

Claire,

The truest poker "saying" for me is: You're not as good as your best result or as bad as your worst play.

Try to remember all the good things you've done. Think positive. Go to the 'community' section of this site and look hard at what you've achieved in some very tough blonde league fields. Don't doubt the achievement.... You kicked ass!

You put the moves on some much more experienced players than yourself, you've dominated final tables and you've always taken your wins with a little flair. Don't forget the highs.
