Just one small point, if you enter a comp which you can't win there is no pressure at all on your play and as such you will make raises and calls you wouldn't normally do, it affects your play whether you consciously know it or not.
The point with other players is:-
In order for you to reach the final you must have knocked out at least 1 player, most likely a lot.
That 1 player was knocked out by someone with no right to be in that pot with him in the first place, who know's he/she may have gone on to win the comp and gained a place alongside you in the final if you were not there.
No offence intended at all mate, just trying to point something out to you
well said ifm i thought the same in the channel 5 thing when you had to knock out all the USA players that was calling with anything just because they had no chance of winning and quite a few told me they was doing it just to p*ss us off
and try to spoil the tourney
