I'm not a big Daniel Craig fan, I like Layer Cake but I just find him a bit bland.
Personally, I would have preferred someone else in the role.

I agree Snoops, I was a very big 'Brosnan as Bond' fan. However this film is good for so many other reasons. Don't let Daniel Craig put you off watching it.

Just been to see it.
I too liked the music, the theme tune felt modern to go with the new image,in fact the score throughout was good.
I felt the new bond improved as the movie went on.
The poker scenes ...................ayre well just let them wash over you, and enjoy the ride.
Great fun.

Just got back from it myself, I went for the poker scenes but I left thinking what a superb overall film it was.
The positive is that the tourists will be chasing straight flush draws for the next six months

Jude Law would have made a way better Bond. Or that dude out of Croupier.

I agree that jude law would have done the business as bond but that guy out of croupier is crap, and that is possibly the worst film ive ever seen, hes a novelist, croupier, hard nut, bank robber, it just goes on and on, absolute shit.
The only good film ive seen that guy in is the one with julia roberts, natalie portman and jude law and the only reason hes any good in that is because the character he plays is supposed to be this contemptable, immoral idiot and i think that he plays the character well because thats pretty much how he is in real life.

I think DC is a great choice for bond, He has style he knows how to carry himself, and he has a coldness to him that the original bond books had.
As for the theme song, Its the best bond theme in years, The lyrics are great, and it feels like a bond theme. Connel actually cared about it, not like madonnas oh well i can make a few quid here effort.Connell said bond themes have to be timeless, i think he's done that.
Its times time bond went back to slapping people about being cocky and smashing sh*t up.
Thank god cheese brosnan has gone.
As for the poker, its bond it has to be ott, a 6 high straight beating top 2 pair just wouldn't work would it? might appeal to the 3% of poker nerds watching

Brosnan was as cheesey as the films and scripts they gave him.

I am not keen on either, Jude Law is no more than a pretty boy who isn't a good actor and Clive Owen is wooden. I thought his acting was unique to the role of Croupier, then I realised this is the way he actually acts in everything else. King Arthur was terrible, Keira Knightley was the only highlight
