lol funny game, Man Utd pwned Cletic but couldn't score. Glad I bet on Celtic their champions league home record is awsome, and Man Poo's away record sucks.

Guess it means Celtic are at the same dizzy heights as AC Milan / Bayern et co now then?

FYP Wink

LOL - I'm with you on that one in terms of the CL.  thumbs up  Hope you draw a 'big' club and give them a good stuffing.

I was referring to the idea that beating manure in a cup game shows that Celtic are good enough to top the EPL.   Although saying that, you'd do better than Liverpool currently are... Sad

Celtics home record in the Champions League reads P 12, W 9, , L1.

Man Utd have won only 1 of their last 11 away in the Champions League!

GAME OVER!

Yet another fantastic European night at CP, the last 10 mins was absolute bedlam!

TBF Man Utd over ran us in midfield in the 1st half although they created virtually nothing. Strachan got his selection & formation horribly wrong but at least he rectified this at half time & the 2nd half performance was much better.

Much as Celtic were dire in the first half, someone pointed out today that Inveness Caley had more shots on target in the first 45 last Saturday than Man Utd managed last night.

So, saying Utd 'owned' us is pushing it a bit.

Anyway, as the saying goes, he who laughs last....  Grin

Maybe Boruc didn't wash before the game or something because they never went near him until after they were behind. Even Fergie said they had hardly any shots at goal. I was shocked by the stats which said they had as many as 11 (if i recall correctly) 3/4 of them were in the last 9 mins after we scored.

I still can't believe that no one has mentioned the biggest dive of the year in winning the freekick that they scored from.

Jarosik should be shot!!!!

I hate diving full stop, so maybe harsh to single him out- but that was a god damn awful dive

I support Ipswich so no bias towards either team

Hardly a dive mate, contact was limited but player came through the back and the intent was there.

Moreover celtic where denied a stone wall penalty when Heinze elbowed Jarosik in the face when he was going for a header in the box, given at this was deliberate he should also have been sent off.

The ref tried to even things up by giving Manure a dodgy penalty but Saha bottled it.

I dont think either Celtic or Man Utd(if they actually qualify) will get through the next round but you never know I suppose. Just think Celtic lack talent, and creativity at the very very top level - and Man Utd just don't seem to be playing well enough to qualify. Good result for Celtic though against the reds!!!!

I think Lyon look a decent bet once again for the CL, but as usual they wil lprobably fail to deliver.

If im correct , Celtic face either Madrid or Lyon in the next round.

now if im correct ( correct me if im not ) Lyon will finish 1st in their group regardless of next weeks results.

therfore if we win next week in Denmark we will play Real Madrid in the next phase.

if we send out a reserve team and get beat we will face Lyon

if i had to choose id say we have a better chance of progressing against Lyon than Madrid

maybe Strachan should take this into account when choosing his side next week

ps although i believe we can beat anybody at Parkhead , including Madrid , Barcelona , Milan and the Chelseas
