I still remember arsenal from when they used to win things.

Whenever I see a team dominate another but not score, I now call it "doing an arsenal"

I still can't believe that no one has mentioned the biggest dive of the year in winning the freekick that
they
scored from.
Jarosik should be shot!!!!
I hate diving full stop, so maybe harsh to single him out- but that was a god damn awful dive
I support Ipswich so no bias towards either team
Not biased, why do you refer to Celtic as "they" then?
The free kick was soft, I dont think the ref even saw it, the crowd got Celtic the decision, still a bit churlish to bring this up considering the work Naka still had to do to score.
Bandits right about the Heinze elbow, penalty & straight redÂ
Also Scholes dives for the free kick that results in the harsh penalty decision, Giggs takes a shocker of a dive at OT in the first game as well for Utds 2nd goal, you could go on all night arguing the toss, fact is Celtic won 1-0 despite playing garbage in the 1st half
Teacake, your always going to get guys like Smithy, trying to bring you down after one of the best results in recent years, thats just they're mentality mate, they are born with it.
bottom line we played bad 1st half, and good 2nd = in the end up we were the better team, ie we came out 1-0 winners and are TOP OF THE GROUP!!!
People just cant handle it.
I do however think we have a much better chance of going through to the last 8 than ...... say ...... Ipswich.

Anyone else think Giggs ran out of steam and should have been subbed before the hour mark?
....Or even not played the game at all, after receiving a 6 match Champoins league ban for the disgusting dive in the first Game?
thats what i would have gave the cheating Bas***d!

Im resisting the urge to gloat at Tottenhams easy qualification through the UEFA cup league stage 3 from 3 victories 2 away from home.
lets hope we get MAN UTD & Barcelona in the next phase

it is very likely that all British teams will qualify from both competitions this season which would be quite incredible.
well done to the teams in the Uefa cup ( Newcastle , Spurs , Rangers , the others )
and also to the teams already through from the CL , Chelsea , Liverpool , Celtic
good luck to the 2 ' wee ' teams - Man Utd and Arsenal , im sure they could scrape through as well.
It would be a great achievment and a stat to be proud of if every team went through
particulalry for Celtic and Rangers ( first time both in Europe after Christmas for 35 years. Incredible )

I fear our (Newcastle's) Uefa run will turn out to be a small bank balancer rather than a deep run but never the less it has been a welcome distraction so far. It would be good for a British teams to go one step better than we did in the CL and Uefa last season. It is overdue!

i am sure hearts and gretna went out in previous rounds along with all the welsh and northern irish teams
or do the fact that they are smaller teams and have very few supportersmean they dont count as teams?

Sh1T... I did completely forget about that. I had had a few by the time they actually won it but it is no excuse! I sincerly apologise and have given myself a good talking to! I think I have started to block out any success other clubs get, its a side effect from NUFC!
Well lets hope it happens again this year! (I'd settle for a Newcastle UEFa win and any British team winning the CL, Arsenal are my 1st choice team in the CL though!)

All british teams who made the league stages qualifying is clearly what he meant. No need to get like that! Of course they count as teams, it is only when you try to insert 'football' before 'team' that anyone would take issue!
