As many of you are aware Blue Square has been running weekly exclusive online qualifiers for the Grosvenor Grand Prix and will be doing so until Friday 7th October.  After this we will replace the Grand Prix Qualifiers with weekly Super Satellites for Grosvenor Festival events.  There are however a few different ways we could run them so I'm interested to hear opinions on which method would be prefered.

1. We could continue to run them as satellites for specific main events, eg Midland Masters, Blackpool Northern Lights package (includes some expenses)

2. We could run them as a choice of for example a Midlands Masters Package or a Northern Lights Package (the Northern Lights is a £1,000 event whereas the Midlands Masters is £1,500 so the Northern Lights package could also include the buy in to a £300/£500 event at the festival as well)

3. We could run them as a Grosvenor Festival Credits package.

For the third option this could mean that if you win the package you can choose any festval events to use them for within a given timeframe and perhaps we could also extend this useage to non festival tournaments with a buy in of £300 or more, so they could be used for the monthly comps being run at various casinos as well.

Thoughts and votes appreciated.

AJ

I really like the thinking behind options 2 or 3

I'm not able to make some weekends, so anything that gives me the flexibility to choose my event having qualified via a satellite is something I would very much welcome

By the way, I only just signed up to BlueSq to play GGP qualifiers. I was impressed

Gotta ensure its logistically possible if we do go down that route so there may have to be some restrictions - such as giving a certain number of days notice, events over £300 only, etc - to make sure its not going to be too difficult or time consuming to manage.

I think they should be £1500 entry into so and so OR use the credits for another Grosvenor event (then prize isn't dependant on number of runners)

Credits

You could have Sats running all the time of differing values and a player can just save them up. For instance you could have a low cost Sat and a player could collect enough of these to play in a £5k Comp at the Vic or wherever.

Nah, you can do that by playing anything and saving the money
