I have got the lurgy .... overnight i got covered from head to toe in the itchiest , unsightly rash known to man.  my hands have swollen to twice normal size, meaning i cannot clench my fists ...

Looks like hives mate, My daughter has the exact same thing, Calomine lotion outside and piriton or benadryl for the inside.

or you could go to the docs

Looks like Hives - swelling would indicate allergic reaction to something.

Piriton will help it!
