i do hope things improve when luton moves premesis.

they had a sattelite for this yesterday with 73 runners and in thier wisdom decided that one member of staff could cope issueing rebuys, absolute joke and you spent more time waiting for chips than actually playing.
then with less than 20 left with 10 tickets avialable they decided to go to 5 minute blinds, again imo a joke.

The first bit is mad, the second part i can understand if the comp was due to start soon.

yeah if u call next day soon lol

they had a comp on last night too

the cardroom staff remaining at Luton try hard, its had a lot of upheaval recently with short notice staff turnover and not a lot of management support for the poker room either

Move to a new place coming and hopefully things change for the better

This is the (now defunct) self-deal table, but I thought the picture should still go up as it's got more than a couple familiar faces on it.

Tracey 'Ding' Dell, who has won the coveted Best Snack Provider of the Day title - so far held by Alistair for introducing me to sticky toffee pudding, and Ariston for making chips (edible) appear regularly - she brought a giant box of sinisterly-titled Cadbury Heroes, which I intend to dole out in small quantities to the updaters.  Thanks, Ms. Dell.

i never questioned the efforts of the remaining staff more a management gripe.
it doesnt take a rocket science to foresee that the last satallite before the main event would be busy and should have staffed accordingly, if that means recruiting staff from other grosvenors then this should of happened.

itb, I agree...However there are bigger issues at play preventing this recruitment from elsewhere.

I can always make edible chips appear very easily jen, strange that I can only do the opposite with poker chips Sad

See you all in a bit I'm getting rather low in the 15k so will be heading to luton shortly methinks.
