When I was little, I mostly wanted to be big.

My dream was to be an Air Hostess, flying all over the world and going to exciting places.

I wanted to opt for as many languages as I could in my last 2 years at school but unfortunatly I could only do 2 and my French teacher was a right cow who took a dislike to me (might have had something to do with her living nearby and me letting her tyres down regular lol).

Im so glad I didnt go there now as its just a glorified waitress job in cramp conditions.

There was a brief period when I wanted to be Evil Knievel, then one day the crossbar of my bike and a delicate part of my anatomy had a very rapid coming together and I went completely off the idea.

For years I wanted to be an HGV driver. Have no idea why - just liked the idea of seeing places I think. I do drive a diesel car which is a bit like a tank so I'm half way there. Cheesy

I remember when I was very little I wanted to be a taxi driver.

There's a sort of bizarre 'little kid' logic at work when one considers dreams like this one. The sort of logic that, when you're small and obsessed with cars and driving, makes taxi driving seem like the best occupation in the world. You get to drive all day long, and people actually give you money for it! Not little money either, but the big money that grown-ups use, the paper stuff that we kids almost never see except at Christmas or birthdays. I mean, just think how many sweets and football stickers you could buy with all that!

Never occurred to me at the time to be, for example, a racing car driver. Nobody ever hands paper money to a race car driver, and besides, those things that go round the track don't even look like proper cars, really...

I never really wanted to be anything.
And thinking now, I reckon I've achieved it.

I was always a bit of a gambler at school .. I used to run sweeps on the derby, national, and was always taking football bets... One teacher in particular used to constantly say to me ... "Shepherd, you will end up wasting your life away in some back street bookies, wasting every penny you ever earn"

Quite ironic really that I ended up as a manager for Corals bookies .... And guess who one of my best regular customers was ... Yep, my old teacher Smiley

Personally, I always wanted to be an Actor.
