I think she's booked it, mentioned it just and she said i'll have to wait and see what Father Christmas brings me.
So if I end up with a leaf blower or cordless drill I might be a little disappointed.
Ok whats the best value rooms for a single person, doesn't have to be anything special but ideally on the strip?
The cheapest (regular price) on the strip will probably be Imperial Palace... I've read some UN-flattering reviews of it though.
The Orleans (not on strip) has some special prices in January - use promo code EDE1221, to see them... A few blondes stayed there for the WSOP this year and I think they thought it was OK.

33 degrees today...man that sounds good.
Not in farenhiet(sp) it's not
true....but who still uses farhenheit? well, other then micheal moore obviously
well we do for a start - but it all depends on the weather outside.
If its hot then its "Temp in the low 90's - will we reach the magical 100" - all weather in farenheit
If its cold then its "Temp will reach 3 or 4 overnight, slight possibility of frost" - all weather in celsius

I've stayed at the imperial palace and its not too bad actually. I'd go as far to say it was decent value given the location etc. I wouldn't take my wife there, but if was perfect for me on my tod.

I have stayed at the IP aswell, there is really no need to stay there though what with the $/£ rate at the moment you can stay somewhere decent fairly cheap. I was there last month and myself and Jamie were in the Venetian for $160 a night, crazy when you consider how damn nice it is.

I would recommend getting a poker rate at Bellagio, Wynn or The Venetian. WIth the Bellagio for $169 a night you don't even need to play in their poker room although you will have to go in the poker back office and ask for it. With the Wynn and Venetian you will have to do 4-6 hours a day of cash games before they move you over to the poker rate, but you don't need to play high stakes or anything. I stayed at The Wynn last time i was there for $129 a night and they were the nicest rooms i've stayed in anywhere in the world for the price of an English Travel Lodge, also the $5/$10 NL game was very profitable as are the $2/$5s.

Couple of days ago the wife says she's looked at prices to Vegas and doesn't think she can afford it after all, I told her not to worry about it, however I opened my post this morning and there was a receipt from KLM confirming my flights.
Ruined the wife's surprise a bit.
Apparantly I'm going on the 24th Jan and coming back on the 7th Feb.
WOOOOT..
