Is it windy where u are?

My roof about to cave in. Played 5x sit n gos today, highly amusing. Generally like: I raise, he reraises, everything goes completely black for the 12th time today as I lose power to the entire house. Is this happening in other places? We have a bloody space station in orbit but we can't keep electricity flowing for more than 1 hour at a time. I calculate my total average monthly loss to powercuts, internet breakdowns, and PC problems to about £150. Is this normal? Live poker has never looked so appealing....

I do live in Scotland, yeah, near Glasgow, which had electricity connected to the entire city over a decade ago. Note: by "windy" I mean REALLY windy: difficulty walking without crampons, trees occasionally dropping through skylights, untethered children hurtling across Sauchiehall Street. Not the 'strong breeze' you occasionally get in England that blows leaves into your Pimms and makes the Range Rover shake a bit.
Appears that the rest of Scotland is indeed suffering:

personally we find it's the cold left over sprouts that do the damage

My wife will not let me eat sprouts anymore after the windygate episode last year. It used to be so much easier when my mum had a dog for me to blame.
