Time to jump aboard the bad bead bus. woooo woooo

Tom McDaid runs Jacks into Dermot Jacob's Kings, but a Jack on the Flop with a J-T-2-9-7 board provokes him into leaping into the air shouting, "Get it up there".

What we are getting up and where 'up' is precisely, I am unsure.

I am sure Dermot has some idea.

One of the few non-Irish players remaining is Dutchman Jens Klenning (apologies for any incorrect spelling), and he has just eliminated one of the locals in Shane Cleary, who until recently had never looked in danger.

However, all the chips went in pre-flop with Shane's Big Slick up against Jens' Pocket Sevens.

No improvement on the Q-4-3-9-J Flop and Shane is a gonna.

The lone remaining English player is Chris Smith, who's keeping at or just above average chips - pictured here next to Smurph.  If his stack were to increase at a constant rate, in a couple of days it would look like that of Keith Cummins...

Trevor McGooner (excuse the spelling if this is incorrect) just knocked out the 27th place, calling an all-in (albeit a short one) with .  He couldn't have been in much better shape against , though, and the board came A A Q 10, before bringing a low card and making the 9 the crucial outkicker.

Here he is, performing the re-stack with unnatural speed.

Surely on that board the 10 is the kicker? o_O

Yes, you're quite right.  That's why I've gone back in time and changed it with my magic Admin powers.  Thanks for preserving the original nonetheless - I can now not pretend infallability.

The highly rated Pat O'Callaghan is OUT in rather spectacular circumstances. All-in with Aces versus chip leader Keith Cummin's Queens, the cruel game brought a Queen on the Turn and no miracle Ace on the River.

There was a big celebration from Keith who yelped as he punched the air, but he soon consoled a clearly devastated O'Callaghan.

Another man down.

You should have just kept it quiet, and let everyone reading think what a pedantic idiot I am. Now it's up there like 4 times!

Your last post was a blatant excuse to put it up again, Tragic... I've got my eye on you, Sunshine.  (When Snoopy says that, people just laugh, but I thought I'd try it out).

In 21st place finishes Chris Smith - he moved in from the big blind over the top of a 25k button raise.  He had around the same again, and he eventually got a call, showing .  Not a bad hand, for sure, but against the , not a great one.  He picked up a gutshot straight draw on the turn, but that's as close as he got, and we're down the last Englishman.

Just met David McGeachie on the way to the loo (no, nothing like that). He pulled out a coin and asked me to say heads or tails. Tails he gets pissed, Heads he plays STTs. Win win situation really! Anyhow, I announced Tails and Tails it was.

All academic really though because David decided to get pissed and play STTs.

Sean Clery doubles up to over 100k (I believe he was all-in for 52,500 in total) leaving Sligo John with just 10k in chips.

Classic coin-flip (how low does the pair have to be before it isn't classic) with Sean holding Tens and John Ace King.

Raggy 5-4-9-7-4 Flop and Sean's back in business.

No need for police smilie, I'm overage now. Unless of course it's some sort of horrible sexual innuendo.

In Ireland, Snoopy, especially if Fintan has the microphone, A3 v 22 is a classic holdem race situation!

And Sligo John is now officially El Busto (a phrase I've heard more times in two days than in the preceding ten years)...

Although the next hand was an auto-all-in on the small blind (of 3,000) for a total of 9,500 when the button raised, he managed to think about it a good deal longer than one might expect, and with too.  Of course, it went in, and the 6k big blind got out of the way (the button raise was more, of course, than John's stack).  In fact, John beat there, but it was a short reprieve.  His final hand was against and an Ace on the board finished him off.
