Hi Adam / Jen,

Just fully read through your reports this morning (and signed up to see the pictures!!) - well done guys. It was nice to have a chat and a pint with you last night.

My sincere apologies to Adam for the SnG...!

Cya!

Lloyd.

Hi Lloyd

I won't share my beats with the forum because (1) I don't want to embarrass you and (2) I can't afford the 50p for the bad beat tin.  Wink

Still, there's no shame in embarrassing Mike Lacey who called my all-in (T-9)  on a T-T-x board with Q high.

Bit of a quiet before the storm.

With everyone folding round to the big blind in two consecutive hands, McDaid suddenly decides the third is a time for an early position raise of 40k.

Unfortunately for him, Jens in lying in wait, moving all-in for 170k.

After a lenghty dwell, McDaid opts to fold, only for Jens to reveal a rather lowly Pair of Sixes.

McDaid didn't look too chuffed and one onlooker even said, rather abrasively, "He's always at it that f***ing c***."

They don't mince their words over here...

You were holding a pint of Guinness at the time and the fact that you asked for the pack so you could find some extra cards wasn't a good sign for Mr Lacey...

Here's what we can see from the press crow's nest (the cameras are those of Sky, but no hole-card camera nonsense slowing down play here)...

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

And these two photos were taken from inside the chair ring.  I felt special being allowed through there.
1) Terry McDaid
2) Jens Klaning and John Clancy

he's up there with the best of them. When mention the likes of Brunson, Negreanu, Ivey and Chan, you can't help but add Lacey to that list.

Good golly, look what Slick Kid's got to bring back with him.

I think only Colchester Kev's taken something more hiedeous than that back home.
