When everyone is fit at Arsenal - i do not think we need much more.

against Sheff Utd we had 10 first teamers out - but now we have really just Gallas and Freddy.

Even Diaby is making his long awaited return tonite.

Also we have kids coming through.  Im a bit upset that we let Stokes go to Sunderland.  However if anyone else had scored 14 goals for Falkirk no Arsenal fan would care.  But i would have liked him to go on loan for another year to see if he does have it in the Championship.  Looks like Lupoli will stay at Derby or go back to Italy and with Alliadiere not good enough, I think we need a 4th striker but we prob can wait till the summer.  Need to see what is happening with Bendtner and whether Birmingham try to sign him

One might argue we need an extra midfielder maybe out wide - but with Gilberto, Cesc, Hleb, Rosicky, Walcott (for the moment until he is strong enough to play up top) Freddy, Diaby, Flamini, and even potentially Denilson and Song (yes i know he had a mare at Fulham as i was there but he prob still deserves another chance) thats a lot of players fighting for 4 places.

One position i wuld like is at left-back.  Clichy is good (a decent french u21 left back) but he is not an international and i think all our first choices should be internationals (he is the only one who isnt).  Not sure what the answer is.  Bale is only famous for his free kicks, ive never seen him play but can he defend at the highest level.  As Karabiner says Traore looks like he could be the future too and hopefully all will get to see him tonight.  We also have Gilbert at Cardiff who looks promising.

Obvioulsy goalkeeper needs to be sorted in the summer if Lehmann holds out for a 2 yr deal.  Personally id like him to accept a 1 yr deal.  I think at that age regardless of whther he is a goalie thats a decent offer.

So for once i can see why Wenger says he doesnt need to sign anyone.  The squad is coming back to full fitness, the kids are maturing nicely and i am hoping that they will start to show the consistency in the 2nd half.  No matter what people say it is still a transaition and i think the future looks very bright.

And in any event - who is there to sign?  If people are talking about £12mill for Crouch then this just sums it all up.  Its a mad world out there and long may Wenger keep picking up bargains.

i agree with most of what you said. stokes shouldve been loaned to a championship side for the rest of the season and maybe next year too. Id like to see Bendtner back next year too.

in midfield you say we have alot of players fighting for 4 places but i just dont think the quality is there in depth. Yes gilberto and fabregas are good, flamini can do a job. We will have to see if diaby comes back from injury and can still do it. he was starting to look good. As for song i dont think he is anywhere near good enough, he was shocking at Fulham as you mentioned I also remember him playing at pompey last year and was just as bad.

With not a penny to spend therefore I'll expect we'll be scouring the Conference North for raw talent.

Don't bother looking at the Butcher's Arms - Droylsden wont be selling anyone as Chairman/Coach/Manager/Tea Lady Dave Pace wont be looking to sell while we look bound for the Conference.

if the Mandaric takeover goes ahead, and we'll know within 7 days, Iain Dowie will be appointed manager within 24 hours. Or so I am told. With £20m to spend by the end of Jan.

Well you never know, wouldn't be ironic if ferret-face kept you up and Curbs and WHU were to go down.

Young as in Watford?
Davies as in West Brom?

I'd be suprised at that price. Watford will want the £9.65m West ham offered and West Brom have turned £10m before now

I hope Lucas Neil does go to West Ham - seems to have gone quiet on the Barc from! LOL

If we do not get Davies, we will buy Micah Richards.

Vs some of the competition to buy him I seriously doubt it. If you dont get him this month his price and number of suitors will rise dramatically.
