Tomorrow sees the start of the 2007 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour. It's the first (APAT apart, & that's for a different Market) Nation-wide, deep-stack, well-structured Series I can recall in the UK, and it's got added value, too.

Tournament Poker is, slowly & painfully, getting itself organised, & I wish the organisers every success with their 2007 Tour.

It really is not easy to set these things up - trust me! - & there's gonna be a bit of stone-throwing for sure. John Duthie had a right struggle to start up the EPT, but look at it now.

I for one hope it's a stunning success. Jonathan Raab is one of poker's nice guys, & whether some of us like to admit it or not, Tournament Poker in the UK without Grosvenor would be a disaster.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I don't think Jonathan needs good luck this  will only go from strength to strength, for all the regular UK players this is the best thing that has happened ,and added MONEY.
