A confident Joe Grech poses in front of the feature table. "Quick, get a photo of me and the final table," he requests.

Okay, here's one you'll love.
Paul Parker has been telling everyone about a 'great' laydown he made, even though his opponent never revealed his hand.
Mateyboy, who Paul described as a solid tight player, made a standard raise from under-the-gun.
Paul called with Pocket Nines and saw an A-9-4 Flop.
Mateyboy bet out and Paul called.
The Turn came a non flushing, non straighting card like an 8, and the initial raiser decided to check.
Paul bet out his second nuts, only for Mateyboy to re-raise.
Paul then folded, later claiming that he was SURE that his opponent held Aces.
What do you make of that fold?

tikay has been retelling a few hands too, one of which involved popular online player, Richard 'Strummer' Herbert.
To tikay's dismay, Richard brought a chunky stack to his table and sat straight to his left.
Straight away, tikay found A-Q under the gun.
"I didn't really know how to play my A-Q, so I just flat called. Richard then raised and I decided I'd call and see a Flop. The Flop came 2-3-8, so I checked. Richard bet out and I thought and thought and thought, gave the whole spiel even asking how many chips he was playing. I had a feeling he was it, but in the end I passed, saying that I was going to let him off the hook this time. Richard showed a set of Eights. Phew."

Regarding the Paul Parker hand, Joe Grech made me chuckle when he commented that he'd still call even if the mafia came down and held a gun to his head.

They've shuffled up and dealt - an hour and a full redraw later and we're off for Day Two. Only minimal grumbling as people are aware that this isn't regular practise and they've got a few computer problems to overcome. But all credit to them for owning up and setting it straight.
Of course, if they'd played the extra level last night they'd have had a time contingency fund of about an hour... but that's my only criticism. They've handled the minicrisis very effectively.

Does the winner get the extra £13k or is it distributed to final 3 etc?

IMO if Mateyboy is a rock he wouldnt be raising UTG with aces, more likely to be raising UTG with AK AQ suited than aces. Limping with aces UTG is a normal move for rocks hopeing to induce some action preflop. Once Mateyboy has represented the flop by coming out betting on flop theres no way I could put him on AA. The check raise on the turn I believe is a lets find out where I am bet with my top pair top kicker hand. Thats my opinion and like others I'm sure my chips would have gone into the middle, whether or not they would have come back to me is another matter lol
