Close shave for Robert Bright.

Raising 24k pre-flop, Robert is met by an affirmative "All-in" announcement from Ray Wyre.

A spell in the think tank results in a Bright fold, only to see the Pocket Aces of Wyre.

"You save me there, I had Eights," adds Simon Nowab.

Don't think anyone got this, although Micko hinted at the bluff, but Joe Grech actually had for the missed flush draw. Interesting that he bet so little, worked though.

His nephew, Mick 'Slick Kid' McCool was fuming.

"He had to call that, it was obvious he was bluffing."

Will do, I passed on the same message yesterday, although he was rather disappointed that it didn't turn out to be the Page 3 stalker he was hoping for.

Just enjoyed a supremely surreal bout of dialogue with Joe Grech, who was having a quick fag on the rail.

snoopy: "Forget about that, Joe, you're missing a hand."
Joe: "Nah, it's okay, I can miss one"
snoopy: "That'll take years off your life anyway (pointing to cigarette)"
Joe: "Oh I don't worry about that, I know when I'm going to die"
snoopy: "Er... okay. When's that then?"
Joe: "I'm going to be 81."
snoopy: "I guess you'll be cramming in a lot of poker that year then?"
Joe: "Yeah, it'll be a Tuesday too"
snoopy: "Crikey, you're only going to fit in the £100 rebuy that week"
Joe: "Aah no, I won't be playing poker the night before I die..."

At this point, Joe returned to the game, but I feel we should wish him the best of luck today as he only has three years to live.

Yes, very much so. But Joe must have known Vincent had a decent holding and would be at the very least tempted to call such a small bet into such a big pot. Plus, there was no raise on the Flop, which perhaps a King would be expected to do.

I'd call, once the 2nd King comes, it's less likely Joe has one. Joe could easily be value betting a worse Q here.

Either way, it's a great river bet if he did or did not have a king.

Jamie Miller, who'd prayed pretty tight today and dwindled to what he probably felt an unacceptable level, moved in under the gun with , and it probably would have gotten through if Stuart Nash hadn't found and called, taking all but the big blind from the young player...
The next hand it folded round, and Nik in the small blind autocalled blind, showing .  Jamie turned his cards over one at a time showing first the Two Diamonds.. then the Two Clubs. Nik warns him, "I haven't lost a race all year..." and with the Jack coming on the turn, the 16th player is eliminated - Jamie Miller exits the room.

Alan Hensen has doubled up to over 100k courtesy of James Dempsey.

Flushy raised under-the-gun, only to look on in dismay as Alan Henson moved all-in from the big blind with A-J.

It's another 36k more (the original raise was 23k), yet Flush still hesitates...

"Whatever I do here, everyone's going to know that I raised under the gun with trash"

Anyhow, he did eventually make the call showing A-4.

Flop = 9-9-K

"Pair the board!" demands Flushy, but to no avail as the Turn and River bring a Queen and a Ten.
