Umm... I don't know. I'm pretty sure t's the kind that you can only download the once otherwise you have to pay for it again... Maybe if I explain my situation to the nice people they'll help me out... It would be nice to save the stuff on there, but honestly, I'm so desperate to get Windows working now I'm not really that bothered about the software currently on there. That's about third or fourth on my list of priorities. Just, you know, that's how stuff would work if I were king.

Just call them and tell them you bought it of someone thinking it was real and they will sort you out with a legit version over the phone (of course you will still have to pay) that way you can keep your stuff.

I guess it depends how much the stuff you paid for is worth as you'll be paying full whack from MS.

The other thing to consider is vista releases very soon, do you want to buy xp now?

There are XP packs with vista upgrades around though...

What i did was called up and gave them a legit key from my desktop, after a while of BS'ing on the phone radio bombay caved in and gave me a new code (as the first 1 was clearly legit)

It's worth a shot depending on your bluffing skills.....

No, it's still not working. Ginger sent me a link to a thing that she says made her computer live, and I'm certain it would have made mine live too if I weren't so stupid with technological things.

I am now too afraid to boot it up in Windows mode in case it has already locked me out because that will make me cry.

Proceeding to Last Resort tomorrow, I guess. Or taking it into Micro Anvika and begging the guys there to fix it for me.
