It's a bit difficult without knowing something about the player.  He might be playing weak tight with an overpair or have a drawing hand or hit a set.  All in all, there are far more hands that are beating you than you beat.  You could try a small turn bet, maybe $6 and the same on the river, but I can't see you getting to the showdown here with the best hand too often.

Bet $20, it's unlikely he has a 6.

he may not have "a 6 " what about pocket 6's , maybe he has flopped a set , maybe he has a flush draw , or maybe he has an overpair to mine(least likely , but possible )

P.S if u bet $20 on the turn and he calls or u get  get re raised allin what then flushy ? ? ? ? ?whats ur plan of attack for the remainder of the hand

thx in advance

you can't check just because you got a scare card on the turn. i keep betting here but not quite as aggressively. unless am told otherwise by him raising i am proberly ahead against his flush draw or overpair. if you get raised on the turn you could be looking at a set or striaght. if he calls quickly on the turn, he could be flushing so i would check fold here on the river if a heart comes.

I struggle with hands like this too.

Part of me says to agree with Flushy and bet out $20. Because im too aggressive and greedy just to give up on the $39 pot.

But in saying this, im not sure that i see the point as i really cant see him folding. He could easily have suited connectors in the range of 45, 56, 67 and already have you beat. He could also have a set. Or he could just have the hearts. There are a lot of hands that can beat you here in my opinion, and only a certain amount that you can beat.

And i struggle to see you winning this one if hes any good, because if he dosent have you beat, if hes a decent player he may put you on a high pair and use the board to scare you off by raising to 40/50 (if youve raised 20). I would probably do this in his shoes on a board like this.

Very difficult one to play this one. There is also a fear that if he calls the $20 on the turn, you check the river and he bets out another $30. And you go on to lose $68, when you could have just lost the $18. I hate to say it, but the suggested Check/Fold might be the right action here.

Im intrigued to know what happened.

This is horrible now because you are out of position with one pair and a scary board.

He might be on a flush draw

If he had AA, KK, QQ then surely he wouldn't be slow playing them on such a flop?

66 is a possibility.

To be honest I'd check here and fold to a substantial bet and wait for a better situation when I know I am in front

p.s.  I think this hand shows the power of position. The guy could have J3 or K2 and he's still probably going to take this pot down regardless of what cards he's holding

Well i dont think i will get many more reply's , so what happened was ........

I decided to check the turn, it was a nightmarish spot to be in out of position as i mentioned previously there was a multitude of hands out there that had me beat , and as he called me on the flop i felt he was gonna call the turn too i was hopin he would check behind  and id get to a showdown as cheap as possible.

Unfortunately he fired out $20 at me on the turn , i really really really was at a loss to know what to do here , i was that bad i genuinely timed out ! was still undecided

So anyway a while later i asked the guy that was in the hand what he had , he said "hold on a min " (i assume he went to check his HH) and came back and said he had ..................

In hindsight which of course is 20/20 as always i would kept up the aggression on the turn , but im wondering whether he would have folded if i had bet say $20 on the turn like others suggested , there may still have been alot more headaches to follow on the river !
