I thought 314 was a restriction considering it was an out and out batting pitch, I would have been a lot happier if it had been a lot closer to 350. It looked touch and go at some stages.

I'd set my opening bowlers to very attacking as an experiment, I'm not quite sure what to make of it though - one went for very few runs and got no wickets, the other got hit round the park but picked up 8 wickets on the way

I had another thumping win by 187 runs.  Think I have the makings of a decent side.

Just realised that was against Yogi's side!  I'm KBOTW

Onto the Cup:

Teams(blonde/BT user/BT Team - if you're logged into battrick the link will take you to the team page):

Me / Bongo / Bigglesthwaite CC
Pokerdave/ BigDave74 / Pokerallstars
Booder / Booder / norfolkngood
Bazzaboy / Bazzzzzaaa / KBOTW
pokerram / sjeeves / ramshire
Newportlad / Newportlad / St Woolos Old Boys
Wardonkey / Wardonkey / Ruswarp Ponies
Yogi-Bear / Yogi-Bear / Jellystone Parkers
wolf306 / wolf306 / wolvescentral
Cossieboy / The Cossie Crusaders

Can everyone check that they are on the list and I have their team details correct? Bazzaboy - I can't find any reference to your team name on here.

As there are 9, I propose we allow my friend to join to make up the numbers, I got him to join around the time I made this thread so it should all be pretty even.

Proposed format - 2 groups of 5, 4 points for win, 2 for tie, 0 for loss, NRR used to separate teams with equal points. Each group will be randomly drawn.

Top 2 from each group qualify for semis. 1st in group A v 2nd in Group B, 1st in Group B v 2nd in Group A. (Group winners get home game).

Games starting this Sunday using the weekly friendly slot.

Fixtures (1 is 1st out of hat, 2 is 2nd etc).

wk 1:
1 v 2
3 v 4

wk2:
2 v 3
4 v 5

wk3:
3 v 5
4 v 1

wk 4:
2 v 4
5 v 1

wk5:
1 v 3
5 v 2

Think that's ok, teams sitting out each week (1 from each group) can play each other in a friendly for a laugh and so everyone will have a game each week.

Other options would be 3 groups of 3, but that only guarantees each person 2 games, instead of the 5 with the 2 groups.

Rules:
Team drawn at home to challenge the away team, pitch prepared to home teams choosing.

If no one disagrees, and we have no last minute entries tomorrow I will draw the names out of the hat and post here so we can all get our games sorted for next week.

Nice one,

Will your record signing be making an appearance in this?

I thought it was a bit odd to have a £95k player left out!

OOOOOH YES as the bulldog says, Mr Os will be making his debut on sunday. I've kept him under wraps but as i've been drawn in the same group as you i will have to unleash the beast. I take it the picth will be another flat one for the batsmen ?? Dave
