well my team got pretty hammered today...

Kinda wish I didnt sell my major batsman ( however I got 250k for a 24yo with a BT just abov 6k)

However I think it was more my bowlers which let me down this time

Ah well

Well done Matt

just seen this match report
from the 20/20 comp
http://www.battrick.org/nl/matchInfo.asp?matchID=1042382
first off is the 14th over of the first innings where 6 wickets fall in the one over
the bowling team must have been rubbing there hands as they now have 9 wickets
unfortunatly the batting side had a little depth
read shaws batting from the 16th over to finish he faced the ball 18 times scoring a 6 with each ball

oh for a team that could do half aswell

Been away from Computer since Thursday. Got back to find all had gone as expected.

A win in the league taking me up to 3rd in Div V.

And then a resounding beating in the Blonde Cup by Bongo.

Despite winning by 29 runs on Friday I dropped a place to 5th in my V. league on N.R.R. (below the team I just beat) but it's tight with only one win between 1st and 5th. I've got another crunch game this Friday, versus the third place team, who are also on 3-2.

By rights, I should lose but I'm gonna go with a cause-an-upset-or-get-skittled-and-trash-myN.R.R Cracked pitch and see what happens.

My squad players will be attempting to give the BVCC a game on Sunday, so I expect at least one of them to tread on his wicket or bowl the ball to the boundary without it bouncing. Maybe Ellwood can win it on his own again like he pretty much did this Sunday!

My best batsman popped in concentration today, so that's good Smiley Also my highly promising mid-order batsman popped in experience to make him a potential candidate for the succession once my current skipper goes the way of Vaughie in the one dayers. I now have four strong leaders in my squad Smiley

Cheers,
D.

A must win convincingly league game for me this week as i'm playing the bottom of the league team who's record is played 5 lost 5. However they were taken over by a new manager last week and i'm hoping its going to take him a week or two to find his feet meaning i can get my NRR up into the positive which could prove to be the tie breaker later in the season.

Then on sunday i have ramshire in the cup so i'm going to be fielding my 2nd XI to see how some of my squad players perform under pressure Smiley

Just a quick question to those who have played for a while - do players get injured on this? Is there any point in getting together a really good squad to cover various things or is it just worth getting a few extra players to stand in should any first team regulars go thru a "dry spell"?

no injuries

squad are best used for if players form drop

also if players tire (never happened for me)

also for the first class games which hopefully start next season

Ok, time to trim the trash even further then - ty squire Smiley

You got to be kidding me - i don't do enough work as it is and fridays are now conveniently taken from 10.30 onwards with a game of cricket.

How am i supposed to cope with a 3 day game every week as well?!?!? Cheesy

Had a good day with the training today - batter popped to strong and my 17yo fast bowler popped to respectable. Also means next week I should get a player popping to superb

A great result for me Friday, unexpected to say the least.

Sunday another story, ripped apart by the Gorseybrigg old boys, very well played.

I have the league leaders this week - so another tough day in the trench's.

I also seem to have had a couple of pops today - lets hope the form goes up in proportion.
