the good news for me/bad for you is i am playing top 2 teams in my league next 2 weeks so will be on TIE and playing 2nd string in the league match so will be putting out a strogish team in the cup but i still expect to get a total hammering

btw i aint sure which players you were looking at but i havent got any "good players" they are all average med/med or comp/med nothing of the class of bongo or any of the other top blonde teams

Well, as I thought they might, Ndebele and Du Toit did a number on Booder's batting line-up and my newish fast bowling all rounder saw off the tail in quick time. I suppose the benefits of being hammered on Friday is your low stamina, high skilled players can play Sunday! Cheers for the game chap.

Two ways to look at this batting performance.

It was a flat wicket, so ideal conditions for the batsmen.  Consequently, I'd have thought a score of 300+ would be needed to be competitive.

BUT

The record score for a team batting second on this ground is 220.

So, in summary....

 

The low batting 2nd score is probably due to just about every match I've played at home being one sided one way or the other.

Its looking pretty evenly poised atm although I don't have much batting to come, and that coupled with the fact both batmen have been in for ages and are slowing down means I could struggle.

Hmmmm now looking as though that was a positive as their replacements have been bashing the ball to all parts of the ground.  15 needed off 5overs with 5wickets in hand....it would need a collapse of hellacious proportions to lose this surely.
