lol, now security let me in to the ground - only to find i've already won by 10 wickets! Cheesy

gets a bit tougher on tuesday though, dont like the look of my new Div 5 FC - going to be tough to stay in top 4 playing mainly reserve players, may have to start switching squads to have mixture in both one day and FC games to keep the losses off the card

i dont get it - i picked my guy up earlier for 25k, i check back into the transfer market to see if there's any more bargains about and i find things like this.........

16. Franky Wilding £4,000,000 (Wonderland)
Plays for: Suicidal Sloggers      Stamina: respectable       W/Keeping: worthless
Age: 17 years old                 Batting: worthless           Concentration: abysmal
BT Rating: 8,623                  Bowling: respectable       Consistency: respectable
Deadline: 01/06/2008 20:54  Fielding: mediocre

4million - wtf?!?!

42. Liagat Fareed £1,200,000 (Hampton Central CC)
Plays for: Assassins                  Stamina: feeble            W/Keeping: respectable
Age: 17 years old                   Batting: competent       Concentration: competent
BT Rating: 6,506                    Bowling: worthless        Consistency: worthless
Deadline: 01/06/2008 22:28    Fielding: feeble

He's only 4 million because he's 17, it's week two of the season, and he's £1000+ p/w wage respectable primary. 17yos this season will be 19 at the time of the next U19 WC.

won  my cup match vs a semi decent BOT by 78 runs, birchall again the man with 120.

for the win, I get another away fixture, against a rubbish BOT. Round 3 for me Smiley

my reward for beating a bot team is another away fixture which meant i could breath a sigh of relief as it means i'm the better ranked team. Even more so when i look at my opponent who is another bot who got a bye in the first round - good job as well as he hasn't won a game since season 8, over one and a half seasons ago Smiley

gives my reserves another chance to improve on their form

sigh, i find a player with 15 minutes of bidding left at a half decent price - i bid £145k for him

Alan Goulding (332860)

RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, proficient batting form, abysmal bowling form, sublime fitness.
A defensive player with superb leadership skills and competent experience.

Plays For: statto
Nationality: England
Age: 27 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 7,509
Wages: £1,339 p/w
Processing ...
Stamina: competent         Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: woeful                Concentration: woeful
Bowling: proficient            Consistency: feeble
Fielding: competent

imagine my surprise with 30 seconds left that i still have the highest bid until suddenly someone tries to whisk him from under my nose - bugger, so who is it trying to steal him from under my nose?!?!?!

SheriffsStars!! Grrrrr   and now thanks to that someone else has now decided to join in the bidding and its up to £210k and rising - cheers mate Sad
