I've never been to Cardiff and want to make the most of the weekend after I've busted out early again. Any recommendations of local attractions/decent pubs?
If i was you i would just go down the bay, its where the casino is. It is beautiful down there and should be nice and quiet with a big choice of restaurants and bistros (chinese, italian, thai, brasserrie, indian, etc).
As flying pig said town itself will be packed so best to avoid!
You cant beat the bay!
Let's get this right. Did you just say "Cardiff Bay is beautiful"? I'm bound to say, the Asda has a nice curvy roof, the Aldi is one of their better ones, & the Futura Hotel must have had some sort of architectural award for worst designed building ever. Beautiful?
You ever been to Derbyshire?
Tikay don't take it out of context, its beautiful for Cardiff.
That's true I guess. Stand by for KingPoker rant......

You don't get this in Derbyshire...
Probably for a very good reason.

well where do i start.............
1) They bay is gorgeus. You go down there in the summer when the evenings are long and drink the night away in the ouside bars.
2) Fair enough bout the futura Inn- but what about out millennium centre and numerous other beautiful art and artitecture.
3) And if you think derbyshire is nice, come up the Brecon Beacons with me and climb to the top of pen-y-fan and tell me its not the most breathtaking view you have ever seen. If the wind doesnt doesnt blow you clean off the side!
Wales is the most naturally beautiful countries in the world.
There. That will do for now! im sure i will have to rebuttle some more in a few cinical posts time!
And those pics are of the magic roundabout. A very good place for picking up prozzies after the sun has set (i have been told!)

Brecon Beacons, I agree, but Carrdff, ffs? We call it Beirut. Though that's probably an insult to Lebanon.

i know your right really but i love the place. I was in uni there for 3 years, hope to go back agin but to the different uni in a couple of years to do medicine, it has everything i need, completely different to my home home whcih is well in the sticks (Beautiful but nothing here to do apart from drink and hunt!). And then main reason being of course it is home to my casino. Which from march onwards i will be frequenting a lot more to try and make some $$$'s.
And its where me and the missus met! (even tho our home homes are around only 15 minutes apart i never knew her before!) But i suppose thats the only bad one i can think of!
Might actualy start venturing over the border towards the summer time to a few english tourneys. Meet the old timers!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Brecon Beacons National Park is a landscape that offers a legacy of unparalleled proportions with spectacular mountain ranges, internationally renowned geology, bountiful wildlife and diverse recreational opportunities. It contains some of the most spectacular and distinctive upland formations in southern Britain and covers an area of 1347 sq km (520 sq miles).
This amazing landscape has now been officially recognised as one of the most important geological landscapes in Europe. In October 2005, the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority was awarded membership of the highly prestigious European Geopark Network and given UNESCO Global Geopark recognition for the Fforest Fawr Geopark.
Brecon Beacons National Park is the FIRST National Park in the UK to achieve Geopark status, and is the FIRST Geopark in Wales.

No brecon beacons itself is the range of mountains and hills included. Pen-y-fan is the highest mountain.
