Well. They are not quite winner takes all but basically the rest of the prizes were minimum.
I played in a feild that can only be expressed as weak. The problem was they were all gamblers so I needed to gain respect. And hit cards:)
I managed to get the chip lead early in the first event and used my stack and agressive play to make sure I remained top of the feild by double the whole way through. The final table as normal can be tricky but with so many players with few chips I took it as my role to take them on and get rid of them. table captin if you wish! They all wanted to double up and none of them wanted to go out. I took a chance when a stack moved in on my BB. I did it to let them know I would call with any 2 cards so that no stole them again unless they had a hand. Of course I said that when I called and got lucky as my 52 floped a wheel. From there i went on to take 3 others out and when we were 3 handed I had to be carful. Anything can happen and the blinds were massive. I stole a lot where I could and played a good solid game. If you can only win 1 prize then that is all I was playing for. no point coming 2nd or 3rd in that event would have cost me money over all. The second one was easier as people feared me and new I was the champion from before. In fact I only went there as the fiorst one they did a player I know who at the time was not a very good player won the event. Well I thought I must go to that. As you see I regained my title and won back to back. They have since not had another one but I am hoping soon they will. I would love to make it 3 in a row. be good but e Lucky!

Was in the Casino Tanger. It was a 1000 euro rebuy. There has been one on the other side of morroco resently but Tanger is 90 min from my house so easy. AM not sure what site they will be on but if you check www.marbellakid.com as local tournamnts will be posted on there from March.

Does being called a "cash game professional" mean you are crap at tournaments?

4 wins over 10K sterling in the last 3-4 years says that your record is not the best either. Only kidding, I see you had a good win in Amsterdam, Thank god........... I never really played tournamnets or understood my faults in the game. Since changing my style of play I have managed to get some nice results locally in tournamnts. So I cant complain but tournys are for fun and unless I win the $ are not great. Hence why I stick to cash games. Thanks though for your post.
