Why do people have to be so crass and rude in online poker.

Playing in the APAT online event tonight someone went about insulting  my sister in the chat box. I don't think that he thought it through, becasue I would love to bump into him at one of the live events to se if his manners would improve, which I guess they would. The point being; why do people think they can say things that are totally inapropriate.

He really annoyed me, and when I pointed out to him that I could not wait to meet him at the Welsh event, there was no more chat from him. Great behind his PC...

This is simply not acceptable in APAT. PM me the offenders name please & we'll check it out & take the appropriate action.

He is out of order...but you are more so.
Or is physical intimidation more acceptable than table trash talking?

Hmmmm.... I certainly never threatened to beat the crap out of him, and I don't know where you got that information from, but I can assure you I never said any such things. I said I would like to see him in Cardiff. An apology or to see if he is not two faced, and would say these things to my face. Which I dont think he would.

People seem to think that they have no responsibility for the things they say. Especially when behind a PC. He woulld not say these things to me over a table, so why should he get away with it form behind a PC. Does that condone that sort of behaviour?

Comments like "I hope your mother dies of cancer" (which I have seen) deserve a smack in the mouth imho.
